About Our Chapter
The Sacramento Sierra Chapter served real estate appraisal professionals across the Sacramento and Sierra regions, providing education, resources, and a strong professional community.
Who We Were
A regional chapter of the Appraisal Institute, active in Northern California
Our Mission
The Sacramento Sierra Chapter brought together appraisal professionals committed to the highest standards of practice. Education was the core service we provided — a tradition the appraisal community relied upon for nearly 100 years.
In May 2020, the chapter adapted its education programs to virtual classrooms to meet COVID-19 safety requirements while continuing to deliver live, high-quality instruction.
Chapter Merger
Effective January 1, 2022, the Sacramento Sierra Chapter merged with the Northern California Chapter to form a combined Northern California Chapter. Steve Salmon served as 2022 Chapter President, and Jarrod Hodgson, MAI served as 2022 Northern California Chapter Vice President.
This merger joined the chapter with one of the largest and most influential chapters in the country.
